Mp. Enrico et al., TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE NUCLEAR-SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION-TIME INCOPPER METAL TO BELOW 10 MU-K, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 49(9), 1994, pp. 6339-6342
We have cooled a high-purity specimen of copper to a lattice temperatu
re of 7+/-1 muK in a field of 6.8 mT. We have followed the time evolut
ion of the lattice temperature as the specimen subsequently warms in o
rder to investigate to lower temperatures the apparent anomaly in the
spin-lattice relaxation time recently observed in this metal. We find
the behavior of the lattice temperature to be entirely consistent with
the conventional Korringa relation.
