Abstract
The final metabolic process of methanogen, methane generation and simu ltaneous disulfide formation, is simulated by the reaction of thioanis ole with a toluenethiyl radical in the presence of a nickel complex, w hich is generated by the photolysis of a toluenethiolato-nickel comple x.
