This paper presents a procedure for the estimation of enthalpies of fu
sion, melting temperatures, enthalpies of transition, and transition t
emperatures using experimental binary solid-liquid equilibrium data of
eutectic systems and the group contribution method modified UNIFAC (D
ortmund) for the calculation of the required activity coefficients. Ad
ditionally, experimental solid-liquid equilibrium data of the system t
etrachloromethane + m-xylene are presented.
