Abstract
Excess molar enthalpies and excess molar volumes of dimethyl carbonate + seven alkyl acetates have been determined at 298.15 K and at atmosp heric pressure using a flow microcalorimeter and a digital density met er. Values of excess enthalpies and excess volumes increase as the cha in length of the acetate molecule is increased. In contrast, the mixtu res containing dimethyl carbonate + vinyl acetate show the lowest valu es. The experimental results have been correlated using the Redlich-Ki ster equation and have been qualitatively discussed.
