Aj. Easteal et al., PVT PROPERTY MEASUREMENTS FOR LIQUID CHLOROBENZENE AND 1,2-DICHLOROBENZENE FROM (278 TO 338) K AND (0.1 TO 300) MPA, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 42(6), 1997, pp. 1261-1265
The effect of pressure on the volume in the liquid phase for chloroben
zene and 1,2-dichlorobenzene has been measured relative to their volum
es at 0.1 MPa with a bellows volumometer for pressures up to 300 MPa o
ver the temperature range (278.15 to 338.13) K. The experimental volum
e ratios have been represented by two sets of equations to enable inte
rpolation and extrapolation of volumetric properties. The results of o
ne of these representations suggests a means of extrapolating the volu
metric properties of these chloro-substituted benzene derivatives. Iso
thermal compressibilities, thermal expansivities, normalized volume fl
uctuations, and the change in the isobaric heat capacity from its valu
e at 0.1 MPa have been calculated from the results.
