Abstract
Ketones can be easily obtained by electroreduction in an undivided cel l or an organic halide - metal carbonyl mixture using a Ni-bpy catalyt ic system in DMF (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine). The process is especially we ll convenient Tor primary benzyl and alkyl halides. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
