MENTAL ILLNESSES AMONG NAHUAS

The temperamental dysfunctions have experienced different conceptions from ancient times till now, as well as their diagnosis and treatment. At present we know little about mental illnesses in ancient cultures due to the lack of written information on its diagnosis and treatment, as they were considered within a magic-religious frame. This paper is a relation of what the early Mexican knew about mental illness and ho w they treated it with the herboreal methods of therapy they pogsesged .
