Abstract
Previously unknown 1-methyl-1H-2-pyrrolethiol and -selenol existing in solutions as equilibrium tautomeric mixtures with their thione (selon e) forms have been synthesized. The reason for instability of the comp ounds was found to be their spontaneous dimerisation into 2-thio(selen o)lactams. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
