SPATIAL AND TIME VARIABILITY OF PH VALUES IN PODZOLIC SOILS OF THE CENTRAL FOREST BIOSPHERIC RESERVE

Spatial and time variations in soil acidity status (pH of water and sa lt extracts) in pale-podzolic and white-podzolic soils were analyzed a s dependent on the year and season of observation. It was revealed tha t variation of pH values in different years are more manifested than t hose by seasons, at least when the years with contrasting weather cond itions are compared. This must be taken into account when conducting t he monitoring of soil acidity and when using the data on soil pH to ca lculate thermodynamic stability of soil components.
