Abstract
The effect of contamination by oil products and sewage waters from oil wells on soil properties was studied. Humus status, acid-alkaline equ ilibrium, content of available forms of nitrogen and phosphorous, enzy me activity, and chemical composition of water extracts from soils wer e examined. The samples were collected on the territory of major oil f ields in Bashkortostan.
