Abstract
A new implementation of the EBK method for the semiclassical quantizat ion of partially destroyed tori is presented. The application to the c alculation of some quantum states of the LiNC/LiCN molecule which are influenced by a saddle-node bifurcation is discussed. In this quantiza tion surrogates of invariant tori, computed using gap filling saddle-n ode orbits, are used. These orbits are obtained from a very detailed s tudy of the islands around islands structure existing in the relevant classical phase space region. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
