Abstract
Sensitivity often occurs shortly after an amalgam restoration is place d. This phenomenon has been related in part to microleakage at the ama lgam/tooth interface. When microleakage characteristics of a large num ber of commercially available dental amalgams were examined, results s howed wide variation in the amount of microleakage.
