Abstract
The persistent benzofuran radical cations B1(.+) -B4(.+) have been gen erated by electrochemical or chemical oxidation. The lifetimes of the radical cations have been determined by UV spectroscopy and cyclic vol tammetry investigations, and their structures established by EPR and E NDOR spectroscopy.
