MEMBRANES AND 3-FORM SUPERGRAVITY

We discuss membranes in four-dimensional N = 1 superspace, The kappa-i nvariance of the Green-Schwarz action implies that there is a dual ver sion of N = 1 supergravity with a three-form potential. We formulate t his new supergravity in terms of a three-form superfield in curved sup erspace, giving the relevant constraints on the held strength, The cor responding membrane soliton in the new supergravity is given and we di scuss how the extended supersymmetry algebra emerges from the symmetri es of the flat superspace background.
