The introduction of hyperspherical coordinates allows the separation o
f an N-anyon Schrodinger equation into a hyperradial and a hyperangula
r part in a harmonic well. While the hyperradial part is analytically
solvable, we present a systematic procedure to solve the hyperangular
equation. The inclusion of a perpendicular magnetic field and inverse-
square-type particle-particle interaction does not complicate the prob
lem. The interplay of exchange statistics and conventional particle-pa
rticle interaction is emphasized. [S0556-2821(97)06920-8].
