J. Lesgourgues et D. Polarski, CMB ANISOTROPY PREDICTIONS FOR A MODEL OF DOUBLE INFLATION, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 56(10), 1997, pp. 6425-6432
We consider a double-inflationary model with two massive scalar fields
interacting only gravitationally in the context of a flat cold dark m
atter (CDM) universe. The cosmic microwave background temperature anis
otropies produced in this theory are investigated in great detail for
a window of parameters where the density fluctuation power spectrum P(
k) is in good agreement with observations. The first Doppler (''acoust
ic'') peak is a crucial test for this model as well as for other model
s. For values of the cosmological parameters close to those of standar
d CDM, our model is excluded if the height of the Doppler peak is sens
ibly higher than about three times the Sachs-Wolfe plateau. [S0556-282
