Abstract
Transverse structure functions are obtained at high Reynolds numbers i u atmospheric turbulence (Taylor microscale Reynolds numbers between 1 0 000 and 15 000). These measurements confirm that their scaling expon ents are different from those for longitudinal structure functions. Im plications of this conclusion are discussed briefly.
