Occupational physicians, who are in a key position to influence compan
y policy on mental health, have limited access to education on mental
health. This paper discusses the results of a postal survey of occupat
ional physicians that was designed to identify the mental health infor
mation needs of occupational physicians, determine the way in which th
is information should be disseminated and measure the extent to which
occupational physicians encounter mental health problems in the workpl
ace.
