Abstract
A new method for the computation of conserved densities of nonlinear d ifferential-difference equations is applied to Toda lattices and discr etizations of the Korteweg-de Vries and nonlinear Schrodinger equation s. The algorithm, which can be implemented in computer algebra languag es such as Mathematica, can be used as an indicator of integrability. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
