AMYLOID GOITER - CLINICOPATHOLOGICAL STUD Y OF 2 CASES

We report two cases of amyloid goiter which clinical appearence had ev oqued a neoplasic lesion. The diagnosis was made by histologic examina tion. The nature of the amyloid precursor, determined by immunohistoch emistry, has allowed to evoque primitive amyloidosis in one case and t o attribute amyloid goiter to renal insufficiency in the second case.
