Optical and dielectric properties of [N(C2H5)(4)](2)MeCl2Br2 (Me=Zn,Co
) solid solution have been investigated in a wide temperature region.
It has been found that gradual substitution of chlorine on bromine in
the TEA-MeX4 compounds considerably complicates the phase sequence. So
lid solutions TEA-MeCl2Br2 undergo phase transitions at the ''intermed
iate'' temperatures in comparison with corresponding pure chloride and
bromide crystals. Co-containing compound is characterized by clear-ty
pe relaxation which is strongly affected by low temperature phase tran
sition.
