A. Gerwens et al., ALTERNATING PHOTOCURRENTS AND MODULATED PHOTOCONDUCTIVITIES IN PHOTOREFRACTIVE SILLENITE CRYSTALS, Ferroelectrics, 202(1-4), 1997, pp. 203-210
The techniques of alternating photocurrents and modulated photoconduct
ivities are utilized for the characterization of BTO and BGO crystals.
A vibrating interference pattern creates alternating photocurrents. H
omogeneous illumination with a varying intensity yields a modulated ph
otoconductivity. Frequency dependent measurements are performed. The r
esults of both techniques agree rather well and charge carrier mobilit
ies are estimated.
