Abstract
The mesomorphic properties of dibenzotetraaza[14]annulene complexes an d ligands bearing four alkoxy chains are described. They were investig ated by microscopic observations, DSC experiments and X-Ray diffractio n studies. All the compounds, even the short chains homologues, exhibi t wide range hexagonal columnar phases.
