Abstract
Results are shown that prove laser-generated, ultrasonic-guided waves can be successfully generated in steam generator tubes. Specific guide d wave modes are identified by determination of the frequency and velo city of each. In addition, the authors show results that confirm defec ts are detectable with this technique.
