Abstract
Exogenously applied 24-epi-teasterone is converted to 24-epi-teasteron e-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl. (1 --> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and 24-e pi-teasterone-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-beta-D-galactopyrano side by cell suspension cultures of Lycopersicon esculentum L. Both st ructures were elucidated by LC-mass spectral and NMR analysis, represe nting the first brassinosteroid diglycosides. (C) 1997 Elsevier Scienc e Ltd.
