Abstract
This article recalls the idea of neural controllers with application t o the control of mechanical systems. Basic structures of such controll ers are suggested, and the results of simulations comparing their perf ormance to that of conventional and fuzzy logic controllers are shown. The experiments indicate that the performance of tile proposed neural controllers is satisfactory. (C) 1997 John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
