Abstract
The polyaniline films loaded with quantum-confined PbS particles were prepared by the incorporation of Pb2+ ions into the polyaniline matrix during electropolymerization followed by their conversion into sulphi de form. The Rutherford backscattering measurements indicate that the precipitation of PbS nanophase occurs mainly near the outer face of th e film. The shape of the photocurrent spectrum of Q-PbS-doped polyanil ine film was shown to be dependent on the regime of electropolymerizat ion of the polyaniline host. The anodic polarization produces the blue shift of the excitonic maximum in the photocurrent spectrum that can be attributed to the positive charging of Q-PbS particles embedded in the polyaniline matrix.
