Abstract
The polymerization reaction of butyl vinyl ether with initiating syste ms I-2 and HI/I-2 was investigated with glass fiber photometry and con ductometry by monitoring the characteristic changes in the absorbance versus time curve and in the conductivity Versus time curve. Aldehyde end-groups were observed and a mechanism of their formation is propose d.
