T. Kawamata et al., REBLEEDING OF INTRACRANIAL DISSECTING ANEURYSM IN THE VERTEBRAL ARTERY FOLLOWING PROXIMAL CLIPPING, Neurological research, 16(2), 1994, pp. 141-144
We describe a case of rebleeding from an intracranial vertebral dissec
ting aneurysm following proximal clipping. This case suggests that pro
ximal clipping alone may not be an adequate surgical procedure to prev
ent rebleeding. Surgical treatment of intracranial dissecting aneurysm
s in the vertebral artery presenting as subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH)
is discussed.
