P. Arbuzov et al., CLUSTER-ANALYSIS AND GLOBAL TOPOLOGY OF CMB ANISOTROPY AND POLARIZATION, International journal of modern physics D, 6(4), 1997, pp. 409-423
In this paper we develop the theory of clustering of peaks in a Gaussi
an random field of the cosmic microwave background polarization. We ha
ve simulated 10(0) x 10(0) sky maps of anisotropy and polarization exp
ected from a standard CDM cosmological model with 6' resolution. We ha
ve investigated the dependence of the mean length of clusters in aniso
tropy and polarization on the cross levels of the maps. We explore the
role of non-Gaussian noise in the primordial signal and show that the
methods of the cluster analysis and percolation are very useful for t
he detection of this noise in the maps of anisotropy and polarization.
