Abstract
The complexes (X-6-acen)Ru(PPh3)(2) (X = H (1) and F (2)) have been pr epared and characterized by standard spectroscopic and analytical meth ods. Additionally, the solid-state structure of 2 has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Ligand exchange reactions involvi ng the labile Ru-PPh3 bond are easily performed, and complex 1 serves as a catalyst precursor for the isomerization of 1-hexene.
