The specific heat of the tetragonal semimagnetic semiconductor (Cd1-x-
yZnyMnx)3As2 with various compositions is measured in the temperature
range 1.7 to 25 K. The total specific heat is decomposed into the magn
etic and lattice contributions by using a phenomenological interpolati
on procedure. The magnetic contribution is analysed within our general
ized pair approximation model, treating the total Mn-Mn interaction st
rength as a sum of superexchange and the Bloembergen-Rowland exchange.
As a result, the values of the first nearest-neighbour exchange const
ants for both mechanisms are obtained appearing to be strongly depende
nt on Zn content.
