Abstract
The three dimensionality of drift vortex solitons in a convective moti on is investigated. The propagation of vortex solitons is described by the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation with negative dispersion. It is p ointed out that under a certain condition the vortex soliton resonance is possible.
