Preussia hexaphragmin and P. constricta are newly described based on s
pecimens collected on sheep dung from Iraq. The first species is chara
cterized by the peculiar morphology and size of the seven celled ascos
pores and the second by the deep constrictions between the cells of th
e ascospores. Since Sparormiella is regarded as synonym of Preussia ni
ne new combinations are proposed.
