L. Saez et al., ASPLENIUM X CORBARIENSE NOTHOSUBSP ANDORRANUM (ASPLENIACEAE, PTERIDOPHYTA) - A NEW WILD DIPLOID HYBRID FROM THE PYRENEES (ANDORRA), Nova Hedwigia, 64(1-2), 1997, pp. 267-277
A new wild Asplenium hybrid from Andorra is described here as A. x cor
bariense notho-subsp. andorranum L. Saez, Cubas & Rossello. This hybri
d is diploid, showing up to 72 univalents at meiosis. The cytological
results and the morphological characteristics of this plant strongly s
uggest that it has originated from a cross between A. fontanum and A.
trichomanes subsp. trichomanes. A discussion about the name A. x corba
riense is also presented.
