Recurrent unexplained syncope is a common and often frustrating clinic
al problem. Over the last decade, head upright tilt fable testing has
emerged as an important diagnostic method for the identification of in
dividuals whose syncope is likely to be neurocardiogenic in origin. At

these disorders. This article reviews the concepts behind tilt table t
esting, as well as the uses and limitations of the evolving diagnostic
modality.
