Based on theoretical considerations of the temperature-time behaviour
of hydrating hemihydrate binders and their description by mathematical
equations it is demonstrated that the end of hydration can be determi
ned exactly even under non-adiabatic conditions. For this purpose the
temperature-time curve is treated differently for heating and for cool
ing. The cooling is calculated by Newton's law of cooling while the he
ating functions are described by the e-function.
