Abstract
Synthetically useful O-benzylhydroxylamine can be conveniently prepare d in large scale by reaction of N-hydroxyphthalimide and benzyl chlori de in phase transfer conditions, followed by acidic hydrolysis of N-be nzyloxyphthalimide. The overall yield is over 65 %.
