Abstract
Transverse optical patterns originating from nonlinear interactions be tween inserted image spatial modes and self-induced modes in a passive nonlinear system are considered. Experimentally observed stimulated p atterns, together with results of numerical simulation and mode amplit ude equation analysis, are presented.
