Abstract
General equations for simultaneous heat and mass transfer with free en thalpy taken as a universal potential for both the moisture transport and the phase transitions have been proposed in this paper. Detailed d iscussion of these equations is given for boundary conditions characte ristic of convective drying of capillary-porous materials. (C) 1997 El sevier Science Ltd.
