Abstract
Formulas are developed for use lattice studies of charged hadron polar izabilities. In particular, the valence quark different-flavor compone nt of the charged pion polarizability is examined on a 16(3) x 24 latt ice at beta = 6.0 using Wilson fermions. Using the elastic limit resul ts of Part I of this series, it is concluded that this represents a sm all negative component of the total charged polarizabilty. (C) 1997 Ac ademic Press.
