Two tri-, two hexa- and two deca-saccharides were isolated from bear m
ilk by chloroform/methanol extraction and gel filtration. The oligosac
charides were characterized, mainly by H-1-NMR, as follows: [GRAPHICS]
Both trisaccharides were present in bear milk at a higher concentrati
on than lactose.
