Abstract
The stability of a two state process periodically driven inverted doub le pendulum is considered by Floquet's theory. A stability criterion i s derived and numerically analysed. For some values of the excitation a stabilization is indeed possible. The corresponding parameter region is inside of the parameter region. where a single pendulum is stabili zed.
