Av. Mokhov et al., EXPERIMENTAL-OBSERVATION OF CORRELATION BETWEEN THE TEMPERATURE OF A LAMINAR FLAME AND ACOUSTIC-OSCILLATIONS, Combustion science and technology, 120(1-6), 1996, pp. 1-9
The use of CARS temperature measurements for investigating interaction
s of acoustic oscillations with laminar premixed flames is demonstrate
d. The phase-locked temperature measurements show that the flame tempe
rature periodically changes as a result of modulation of heat exchange
between dame and burner surface. In the propane dame with a stoichiom
etric ratio phi similar or equal to 0.9, temperature. variations reach
300 K when driven with only modest acoustical input power.
