X. Zhang et al., ORDERED SELF-ORGANIZING FILMS OF AN AMPHIPHILIC POLYMER BY SLOW EVAPORATION OF ORGANIC-SOLVENTS, Macromolecules, 30(6), 1997, pp. 1633-1636
An ordered self-organizing film of amphiphilic polymer composed of hyd
rophilic ethyldiamine-epichlorohydrin slightly cross-linking networks
and hydrophobic stearoyl side chains was fabricated by slow evaporatio
n of organic solvents. The self-assembling film has a well-ordered, pa
rtially interdigitated layer structure which is different from that of
the bulk material confirmed by X-ray diffraction, polarized ATR-IR sp
ectra, and DSC.
