Mt. Chow et al., USE OF A PHOSPHORUS-ENRICHED DIALYSATE TO HEMODIALYZE PATIENTS WITH ETHYLENE-GLYCOL INTOXICATION, International journal of artificial organs, 20(2), 1997, pp. 101-104
A phosphorus-enriched dialysate was used to intensively hemodialyze tw
o non-uremic and non-hyperphosphatemic patients poisoned with ethylene
glycol. As a consequence of the use of such a dialysate, eve were abl
e to prevent a fail in plasma inorganic phosphorus levels in these pat
ients in spite of the intensive dialytic therapy.
