Abstract
A new isoflav-3-ene, ethoxy-7-hydroxy-4',5'-methylenedioxyisoflav-3-en e (2-methoxyjudaicin), has been isolated from the roots of Cicer bijug um. The structure was determined by NMR spectroscopy and FAB-mass spec trometry. Chromatographic and mass spectral data indicate that this is oflav-3-ene is also present in the plant as a glycoside.
