Solute-micelle association constants for a group of 26 1,4-dihydropyri
dines with sodium dodecyl sulfate micelles were determined by micellar
electrokinetic chromatography with 2-(N-cyclohexylamino)-ethanesulfon
ic acid as separation buffer in aqueous media and in the presence of a
lcohols (n-propanol and n-butanol). Multicomponent mixtures of solutes
were separated to reduce the time in measuring association constants.
Hydrophobicity quantitation of 1,4-dihydropyridines from MEKC capacit
y factors was performed. (C) John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
