Abstract
The problem is solved concerning the residence time distribution of pa rticles that drift and simultaneously mix following the diffusion law in infinite and semiinfinite channels. The derived formulas are applie d to analysis of experimental data on particle motion in apparatus wit h a directed fluidized bed.
