Abstract
A range of alpha,alpha-dideuteriated phosphonic esters has been prepar ed by deuteriolysis of alpha-silylated alpha-phosphonylated carbanions with D2O as deuterium source. in-most cases, incorporation of deuteri um is greater than 95% and the yields are good to excellent.:The title products are potential tracer compounds in many biological and indust rial applications.
